- Bepress – the websites which Professor profiles are on, the ones called Selected Works live on software called bepress. Practicum students have their own bepress profiles, to get a feel for the backend technology which hosts the UMSL Professor Selected Works pages.
- WordPress – where your activity log and the documentation for the workflow are (this is the website you’re reading now, it is a blog that exists on software, that software is WordPress).

- A Post-Print is a draft of a journal article after it has been peer reviewed and accepted for publication, but before it has been formatted by and for the journal

- A Pre-Print is a version of a journal article that precedes peer review and publication in a peer-reviewed scholarly journal
