Immigrant groups such as Irish, Bosnians, Italians, Germans, and many others have all contributed to the growth of St. Louis. Although part of a larger part of the subculture of the city, the individual immigrant groups in St. Louis have their own changing history that is part of the public memory. This course incorporated community engagement with historic preservation to help both students and community members preserve these shared memories of immigrant groups that live throughout the St. Louis area.
