I’m Maureen Quigley, a teaching professor of Art History and Games and currently the Associate Chair of Art and Design.  I’m a scholar of medieval studies with specialties in medievalism in popular culture and game-based learning.  My background in digital humanities stretches back to a 2005 post-doc at the British Library as part of the DigCIM project – the Digital Catalog of Illuminated Manuscripts.  I’m *this close* to being done with a certification in Serious Games and Simulations from Mizzou.  I’m excited to continue facilitating scholarship and learning through ever-changing technologies.  Chat with me if you’re interested in digital or analog gaming, simulations, VR or other new tech.

Hello!  I’m Molly McMurphy, a second-year graduate student in the Museums, Heritage, and Public History program. My undergraduate degree is in Historic Preservation with an emphasis in Archives. I spent over a decade working in cultural resources and archaeological collections management before returning to school. When I have free time, I love doing arts and crafts, wandering around antique stores, and enjoying all St. Louis has to offer. I’m happy to be here to help folks learn about digital tools for sharing history!

I am lara, a public historian and founding director of the Digital Humanities Lab. I came to UMSL in 2019 to the department of History to direct the Museums, Heritage, and Public History program, and brought with me a passion for digital public history and humanities. I found a dynamic group of colleagues and students who shared my passion, and together we built the lab and have made some fun projects together. I love to cook and ride my bike, and I try to spend as much time with great danes as I possibly can. Drop me a note if you have any questions!
