The Kentucky Black Freedom project is a partnership between the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage, University of Louisville’s Archives and Special Collections, and faculty and students from UofL’s Public History program. This site serves as a gathering place for digital history projects on the long struggle for racial justice across Kentucky. Curated by Dr. Lara Kelland, former director of Public History at UofL, now director of the Museums, Heritage, and Public History MA program at the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
