Lindsay Gallagher

Lindsay Gallagher is a practicum student with the University of Missouri-Columbia’s Master of Library and Information Science program. Trisha Crank is currently a graduate student in the Library and Information Science program at the University of Missouri. She also has a Master’s in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM. She received her BA from the University of Iowa with a double major in Film Studies and Ancient Civilizations. After spending a year teaching abroad at Ryuo Junior High School in Kai City, Japan, she has spent the last ten years working as a teacher and choreographer for Top Hatter II Dance Studio in Keokuk, IA. Debbie Tusher is currently a graduate student at the University of Missouri, Columbia. She is in her my final semester and her goal is to work in a public library. She specializes in children’s librarianship however, one of her goals is to become more up to date with technology and she is interested in what virtual librarianship has to offer as well. Christina Proctor is a practicum student in her final semester of graduate school to obtain her MLIS. She has worked in both public and academic libraries in Missouri and Texas. During her time working at Texas A&M, she was trained as a copy cataloger. She continued her cataloging work at Texas Christian University, and Cass County Public Library. Currently living in Denton, TX near two universities, she hopes to find employment in an academic library in technical services. In her spare time, she loves to read and garden. Practicum Supervisors

Helena “Lena” Marvin joined the UMSL Library team as a Reference & Institutional Repository Librarian on January 19th, 2016. She has a Masters in Information Library Science (CUNY Queens, 2010) and a Masters in History (CUNY City College of New York, 2014). Her research interests include technological trends in history and culture, critical friendship for professional development, and digital librarianship. Taylor Storz began working for the Institutional Repository Library as a freshman in February 2018. He partakes in various clubs at UMSL including the PRIZM Queer – Trans – Straight Alliance and Khaos! UMSL K-Pop Dance club. He has mastered working with Faculty Selected Works profiles and open access discovery tools. During the Covid-19 Crisis, Taylor chose to continue working for the UMSL Institutional Repository Library from home, while finishing his spring semester of classes. When the primary practicum supervisor, Lena Marvin, was unavailable due to furlough Taylor has stepped up and offered to help lead the graduate students with their practicum work.
