The UMSL Open Access LIS Practicum

The UMSL Open Access Library Information Practicum came into being during the Covid-19 crisis. The pandemic made it impossible for many graduate library students to finish their practicum in-person. Helena (Lena) Marvin, the Institutional Repository Librarian at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, developed a remote practicum where students are learning how to provide greater discoverability for faculty works, with a focus on identifying and showcasing open access works.

Initially we were working on a wiki, but we have since moved to this blog. Explore this blog to find out more about the students in the practicum and the practicum itself.
